About

I am a Staff Scientist at the Health Effects Institute in Boston, USA. I also serve as the social media editor for the Journal of Exposure Science and Environmental Epidemiology.

I completed my postdoctoral training in the Department of Environmental Health at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst (USA). I have a PhD in Environmental Health from the University of Birmingham, UK and Master’s degree in Environmental Studies from TERI University, India.

My research focuses on characterization and assessment of levels and composition of particulate matter and associated health effects, particularly in low- and middle-income countries.

I am interested in knowledge management and public engagement activities focused on air quality and health. I run a platform on air quality in India, and have co-founded a knowledge platform on air pollution in South Asia.

Areas of research: Particulate matter speciation and source apportionment, exposure monitoring and assessment, urban air quality

Other areas of interest: Science communication, Diversity in STEM
